Generative AI has rapidly taken hold in the business world. Many companies are striving to rethink value creation by incorporating AI into their solutions and services. This technology is here to stay, but the question is how to harness it to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within companies and to strengthen value creation. This course aims to take the pulse of what's happening in the business world in Iceland and internationally with the emergence of ChatGPT and the general adoption of AI.

The program helps individuals and companies leverage accessible AI to boost efficiency and effectiveness within their organizations and create new solutions and business models based on emerging technologies. The course explores the use of ChatGPT and AI solutions in leading companies in Iceland and abroad, teaching methodologies to utilize this technology for creating solutions, tools, and projects.

The course methodology is based on group and individual projects, discussions with experts, and lectures from both academia and the business sector. Each module includes two to three instructors from both academia and industry.

This course is highly practical, aiming to enable participants to start using the methods, tools, and techniques immediately in their roles. It is available as on-site learning, remote learning (live online or with recordings available at your convenience), or as a blended learning option.

  4. AI in Decision-Making
    • How AI reduces bias
    • Examples of AI-based decision processes
    • ChatGPT in strategy and risk management
    • Project: Create a decision-making process using ChatGPT
  5. Value Creation for Customers and Marketing
    • How AI aids in market research and sales
    • Examples of Icelandic company marketing campaigns
    • Data and behavior analysis using AI
    • Project: Create a marketing plan with AI
  6. The Future of AI in Business
    • Ethical considerations in AI usage

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • The course begins on February 3rd, 2025, and runs for 3 weeks, with classes on Mondays from 16:30 to 19:30 and Tuesdays from 16:30 to 19:30.
  • The program is offered as an on-site course at Borgartún 23, online (live or with recorded sessions as convenient), or as a blended learning option.
  • The course consists of 18 hours, divided into 6 modules, each lasting 3 hours.

Assessment: Group projects completed during class and individual homework assignments.

Tuition Fee: ISK 269,000

Payment options include credit card payments and direct bank transfer, with the possibility of spreading the cost over 6 months. For installment plans, contact bokhald@akademias.is.
